TERMS AND CONDITIONS


BOOKING CONDITIONS:

1. DEPOSIT & CONFIRMATION:

To request a reservation, guests must send by email the following details:
Full name of the main guest, number of guests (adults and children) and dates of birth of the children.

To confirm a booking, a 30% deposit of the total booking amount is required.
A reservation is only considered confirmed after the deposit has been received by bank transfer.

If we do not receive payment confirmation within 3 days from the email confirming the availability were we will send the bank details, and no notice of delay or difficulty is received, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.


2. CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT:

The remaining balance must be paid at the check in by:

  • cash payment in Euro or in Capeverdean Escudos; 
  • Bank transfer;
  • Credit Card;

No other currency or cheques are accepted. 


3. CANCELLATION POLICY:

a) Cancellations more than 3 months before arrival:

If the reservation is cancelled more than 3 months before the arrival date, the deposit may be refunded, minus €15 administrative fee.

b) Cancellations within 3 months of arrival

For cancellations made within 3 months of the arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable.

The deposit will only be refunded (minus bank fees) in the following exceptional cases:

  • Serious illness or accident of the guest
  • Death of a close family member
  • Other documented emergencies

In all cases, written proof (medical certificate, official document, etc.) is required.

c) No-shows

In case of no-show (guest does not arrive and does not cancel), the deposit is fully forfeited.



4. EARLY DEPARTURE OR LATE ARRIVAL

Delays, cancellations or changes made by airlines, ferry companies or other transport providers do not entitle the guest to any refund.

The guest remains responsible for all nights booked, even in case of late arrival or early departure. In this cases, we can provide to guest all documentation as reservation confirmation and invoice to complain with the airlines and ferry companies for a refund.



5. EARLY CHECK-OUT

If the guest leaves before the original departure date:

a) Emergency

In case of serious illness, accident or family emergency (with proof), unused nights will not be charged.

b) Non-emergency

If the guest decides to shorten the stay for personal reasons, all unused nights will be charged, with a goodwill reduction of €20 per unused night.


6. RE-SELLING OF CANCELLED DATES

If, after a cancellation, we are able to re-sell the apartment for the same dates and the same rate, we may refund the deposit (minus bank and administrative fees), but this is not guaranteed and remains at our discretion.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME:

Check-in: from 13h00 – Check–out: until 11h00.


Early check-in or late check-out may be granted free of charge, subject to availability and prior request. This cannot be guaranteed and depends on cleaning schedules and same-day arrivals or departures. 


TOURIST TAX:

In accordance with Cape Verdean Law nº 17/VI/2002 and subsequent amendments, all guests are required to pay a Tourist Tax of:


  • 280 CVE (€2.50) per person, per night,
  • for all guests aged 16 years and over,
  • for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights.


This tax is not included in the accommodation rate and must be paid separately.
The accommodation acts solely as a collecting agent on behalf of the Government of Cape Verde and is legally obliged to transfer this amount to the State.


TRANSFER FROM AND TO THE AIRPORT / PORT (paid service):

In your correspondence with regard to your booking, please don’t forget to mention an up-to-date arrival time in the apartment so we can be ready for your check in. In case you would like the transfer service, we can send one of ours reliable taxi to pick up you for 10€ per way. In this case, please send us the arrival time and flight number, and the driver will wait for you at arrivals with the signboard written “BookingBoavista - TRANSFER”. In case you bring a board bag please advise so we can organize a bigger car.

In case of change of arrival time, this service will only be guarantee if we are notified of said change at the following numbers: +238.9129626 (Eka - Call and WhatsApp) or +238.9983232 (Ayana - WhatsApp). The transfer can be done also from the port for guests coming by ferry, but this service can be booked only from 7h00 to 22h00.

On departure we can also arrange your transfer to airport or port.



Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartments. Guests who smoke are kindly requested to use terraces, balconies or outdoor common areas. Any violation of this rule may result in extra cleaning charges.
